Path of Exile 2 party voice chat fails, is it my settings or the game?

Party voice in Path of Exile 2 is not working right for me. I can hear game audio, Discord works, but in-game party chat either does nothing or only one person hears another. We tried leaving party and inviting again. Still weird. Is there a setting I am missing or is the voice system just buggy?

First confirm your device routing, then blame the game. Check this: 1. Set headset as Windows Default Communication Device. 2. Check Steam voice settings if you launch through Steam. 3. Make sure mic permission is allowed in Windows privacy settings. 4. Disable exclusive mode on your mic/headset. 5. Restart the game after changing audio devices. 6. Recreate party from scratch. If one friend hears you and another does not, it is probably party/session weirdness.
