Fortnite voice chat not working on PC, why can’t my squad hear me?

Fortnite voice chat is not working for me on PC. I can hear the game fine, Discord works, mic test works, but my squad either cannot hear me or I cannot hear them in party chat. I checked that voice chat is on. It still randomly fails. What should I reset first?

Fortnite voice issues are usually privacy/device routing. Try this: 1. In Fortnite, set Voice Chat to Everybody or Friends/Teammates depending on your setup. 2. Check Party Channel vs Game Channel. 3. Set your headset as Windows Default Communication Device. 4. In Windows privacy settings, allow microphone access. 5. Disable push-to-talk temporarily for testing. 6. Restart Fortnite after changing audio devices. 7. Check Epic account parental/privacy settings.
