How to Ask a Great Question

Great questions get great answers. Before asking, search to see if your question has already been answered. If not, follow these guidelines:

Write a clear, specific title

Your title should summarize the problem in one sentence. "Elden Ring crashes after 5 minutes on PC — GPU driver issue?" is better than "game keeps crashing help".

Describe the problem in detail

Include your PC specs if relevant (GPU, CPU, RAM, OS). Mention what you have already tried. Describe when the problem started. Provide error messages word-for-word if applicable.

Add relevant tags

Tags help other gamers find your question. Add the game name, genre, platform, and type of issue (e.g. game-crash, fps-drop, multiplayer, mods). Use up to 5 tags.

Tags

Tags are keywords that categorize questions. Good tagging helps the right people find your question. AskFixPlay has 100+ gaming tags including major titles, genres, and technical categories.

Tips for using tags: Always include the game name as a tag. Add technical tags like fps-drop, game-crash, or lag if relevant. Include the genre (battle-royale, rpg, fps) for discovery. Avoid creating duplicate tags — search before creating a new one.

You can browse all tags or follow tags to customize your feed. Following a tag means you'll see questions with that tag more prominently.
