Path of Exile 2 controller double input on PC, how do I stop it?

PoE2 is giving me double inputs with controller. One D-pad press moves twice, menus jump past options, and sometimes it feels like two controllers are plugged in even though I only have one. I am launching through Steam. Controller works fine elsewhere. Is this a Steam Input thing?

Yep, double input almost always means two input layers are active. Fix it like this: 1. Close PoE2. 2. Open Steam → game properties → Controller. 3. Try Disable Steam Input. 4. Launch and test menus. 5. If controller stops working, switch to Enable Steam Input. 6. Close DS4Windows, reWASD, InputMapper, or any virtual controller app. 7. Remove extra HID/game controller devices from Device Manager if needed. 8. Reboot after changing controller tools. For PlayStation pads, only use one mapper.
