EA Sports FC black screen when HDR is on, how do I get the picture back?

EA Sports FC goes black screen when HDR is enabled. I can hear menu sounds and controller input works, but the screen is just black. If I mess with display settings sometimes it comes back, then dies again next launch. Other games are fine with HDR, so I do not know why FC is acting like my monitor vanished. Any fix that does not require reinstalling?

This is usually HDR handshake / fullscreen mode getting confused. Try this: 1. Turn HDR off in Windows. 2. Launch the game. 3. Switch the game to borderless windowed. 4. Set the correct resolution and refresh rate. 5. Close the game. 6. Turn HDR back on in Windows. 7. Relaunch and test. If it goes black again, keep the game in SDR and let your monitor handle picture mode. Not ideal, but playable. Also check GPU scaling. Set scaling to GPU or display, then test both.
