Could Chronicles: Medieval be the next game for Bannerlord fans?

I played Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord a lot, and honestly, I was almost addicted to it for a while. The medieval setting, huge battles, building an army, taking castles, and creating your own story kept me hooked for countless hours.

Lately, I’ve been seeing Chronicles: Medieval everywhere online—screenshots, videos, and news about the game keep popping up. At first glance, it gives me strong Bannerlord vibes, but it also looks like it might go deeper into RPG elements, atmosphere, and character interactions.

For anyone who’s been following the game closely, do you think Chronicles: Medieval could actually satisfy Bannerlord players? Could it become a real competitor when it comes to combat, open-world gameplay, AI, sieges, army management, and replayability?

As someone who loved Bannerlord, is this a game worth getting excited about, or should I keep my expectations low for now?
