Apex Legends low FPS after GPU driver update, should I roll back?

I updated my GPU driver yesterday and Apex instantly started running worse. Same settings, same map, same PC, but FPS is lower and fights feel laggy. I swear it was better before the update. I cleaned nothing before installing the driver, just clicked update in the app. Is rolling back actually worth it or is there another fix first?

Rolling back can help, but first do a clean driver reset so you know it is not just a messy install. Try this: 1. Download the previous stable GPU driver. 2. Use the driver installer clean install option if available. 3. Reboot after install. 4. Clear shader cache. 5. Verify Apex files. 6. Launch Apex and let shaders rebuild. 7. Recheck FPS with the same settings and same map area. If the old driver is clearly smoother, stay there for now. Competitive games do not always love day-one drivers.
